Every city in America prepares for events like the Boston Marathon bombings through exercises and joint planning with all responder organizations. The city of Boston has demonstrated the proficiency of their interoperability response capabilities with seamless coordination between police, EMS, area hospitals and federal partners. In time we will understand how and why this event was perpetrated and what can be done to prevent and mitigate future attacks.
