Are you looking for a simple way to take first-day attendance? Your Canvas course site can help. For FSU’s distance students and for students learning remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, attending means making contact with the instructor as specified by the instructor at the start of the term. You can create a password-protected Canvas quiz or survey or use the discussion board to take attendance on your first day of classes:
- See First Day Attendance in Canvas for simple, step-by-step instructions.
- Then report the non-attendance drops in Campus Solutions.
The Office of Distance Learning offers continuous support to instructors teaching remotely and online. Please contact us at 850-644-4635, submit a ticket for technical support, or register for a variety of online workshops at odl.fsu.edu/training.
